THE ADDENDUM TO “THE MYSTERY OF NOLAN’S CROSS: QUAM PATENT, PLURA LATENT, MORE IS HIDDEN THAN REVEALED”. PART II

ree

In Part 1 of the Addendum, the following hidden message was revealed from the first section of the Plaque:

1577, FROBISHER VOYAGES, BAFFIN ISLAND, ARCTIC, FOOL’S GOLD, NEW LAND, 44 LATITUDE, REAL GOLD MINE, FRANCIS BACON, JOACHIM GAUNSE, WHO DID, FREEMASONS, ROSI CROSSE, FIVE KNIGHTS, SEE TRIPLE TAU PIT, I AM.

Continuing to the second section of the plaque, the following hidden message is revealed. This again, like the first section, it is a letter for letter rearrangement and states:

“PAGET, GO OUEST ACROSS MARE, MAKE TO MY ELEPHANT ISLAND” or

APPRENTICE, GO WEST ACROSS SEA, MAKE TO MY ELEPHANT ISLAND

The message begins with what appears to be a set of instructions. The word “PAGET” is a Middle English word for an individual who was a young servant or apprentice to a knight or nobleman. In this context, it would appear to denote an Apprentice or Initiate of Freemasonry/Rosicrucianism. It then states, “GO OUEST ACROSS MARE”, which is “WEST” in French and “SEA” in Latin. Thus, the Apprentice is to go west across the Atlantic Ocean from Britain. It then states, “MAKE TO MY ELEPHANT ISLAND”. This seems to indicate Oak Island, which is shaped like an Elephant. This is important in two respects. The first being that the attached picture shows what Oak Island looked like in 1759. According to this map, the island has basically kept its shape and has changed very little in the last 266 years. It would seem that 150 years prior to that point, it still would have had a very similar appearance. Second, the symbolism of the elephant being penetrated by the obelisk, discussed in the initial report, was very important to Rosicrucians and Freemasons. It would have been a very recognizable landmark for them. This clue guides the Apprentice to look for an elephant shaped island in the New World at around 44 degrees latitude. But where specifically? We move to the next section of the puzzle for the answer.

In the 3rd Section on the plaque the message continues with a letter for letter rearrangement:  ACADIE BAY, VERT VOR HEVE, WEST SHORE, DOM HEKAL, TH TH TH, EHYEH, TT.

The message begins with, “ACADIE”. The Apprentice is instructed to look in Acadia, which is present day Nova Scotia, at around 44 degrees latitude for an Elephant shaped island. The Apprentice is then to “VERT” or “TURN” in Latin, and “VORT” or “BEFORE” in German,” into a “BAY”. Presumably, Mahone Bay. It then states, make the turn before “HEVE”. There is no longitude given but this indicates the La Heve River as the critical marker. La Heve was founded in 1604 by Pierre De Gua de Monts and Samuel Champlain. It’s interesting to note that Samuel Champlain, the world-renowned cartographer, left Mahone Bay off his original map. The question has always been why. It seems possible that this was presumably done to hide the location of Oak Island and what was located there.

The message then states, “WEST SHORE”. Looking at a map of Mahone Bay, sure enough, Oak Island is located off the western shore of Mahone Bay. In fact, the modern city of Western Shore is located very close to Oak Island. It is the only elephant shaped island in Mahone Bay and perfectly described as being on the western side of the bay.

The next part of the message states, “DOM” which is German and “HEKAL” which is Hebrew. This means DOME TEMPLE. This would indicate that a Domed Temple was once located on Oak Island and the Apprentice was to find it. It may have also served as a location marker. What was this, Dome Temple? Remarkably, John Dee alludes to one of these structures in his “Monas Hieroglyphica”. It was called a Tholos. He depicts one on the title page. Was he referring to one on Oak Island? A Tholos was originally used as an underground tomb but then shifted to freestanding structures in Ancient Greece. They were Beehive shape. They evolved into circular constructions with a domed or conical roof. They were used for temples, shrines, and meeting places in Ancient Greece and Rome. Considering the admiration that the Freemasons and Rosicrucians had for Greco Roman architecture, mythology and culture, it would seem quite possible they would recreate such a structure as a lodge or special meeting place on Oak Island.

The next part of the message reveals, “TH”, “TH”, “TH”. In Part I, the significance of Triple Tau or TH, was discussed. It has a dual meaning in Royal Arch Freemasonry. The first is of the Temple of Jerusalem, which was illustrated in the first section. Second, it has the meaning of the Holy Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. In this case, because there are three TH’s, the multiple of three seems to allude to this symbolism. The Apprentice is supposed to be on the lookout for something indicating the Holy Trinity. This could be the H + O symbol on the huge boulder on the shore of Joudrey’s Cove which we have talked about in the initial report and will talk further about later. It appears that the H + O symbol also symbolized the Holy Trinity and was used for locating Bacon’s Vault/Tomb on the map located on the plaque itself. EHYEH is Hebrew for the name of God, "I AM", which is the code name for the Oak Island project.

The final clue of the third section is “T. T.” It was always thought that the initials were of the publisher, Thomas Thorpe, who was credited for the printing of Shakespeare’s First Folio, Sonnets and other works. Researcher Peter Dawkins believes that the T. T. is a code that stands for “33”, which is the number attributed to Jesus Christ and Francis Bacon. It is also considered a Double Tau, with meaning in both Mathematics and Christianity. This may very well be the signature of Francis Bacon, a Pythagorean, Rosicrucian, Freemason and Christian all in one. Uncertain? At the very end of the plaque there is an inscription that gives details of Shakespeare’s death. It is in Latin and reads: “He died in the year of the Lord 1616, in his 53rd year, on 23 April.” Looking closely, notice the “53”, or is it “33”? Adding to the intrigue, Shakespeare was apparently 52 when he died, not 53. Was it just an innocent printing mistake or cleverly disguised detail revealing the true author’s signature?

The fourth and final section of the plaque reveals the following message,

“HO, MUST MOW, LAPIS BARES TIP TO SWAN HEART, SHAFT WITH MY TOMB, SEE ME HOME-TTT.”

As detailed in the initial report, on the plaque map of Oak Island the area where the PCygni Stone is located was labeled HO. The author believes that an “H” is labeled on the map in the location of the original boulder that had instructions for finding this feature. An “O” was labeled in the location of what is today called Cone C. Putting them together formed HO and possibly where Bacon’s tomb would be located on the island. The instructions of “MUST MOW” follows. Mow in the context of the 16th and 17th Century meant to clear land. This would be logical especially if it was a long period of time from when the stones were placed there to when they were being sought. It then states, “LAPIS BEARS TIP”. “Lapis” means “Stone” in Latin. On the Headstone, you will find what appears to be a sword with a tip that this author believes points to the PCygni Boulder.

The message continues by saying that the tip points, “TO SWAN HEART”. This refers to the Cygnus representation of Nolan’s Cross detailed in the original report. PCygni, first seen by the naked eye in 1600, represents the heart of the Swan or Cygnus. At this location the message goes on to say, “SHAFT WITH MY TOMB”. This would indicate that under this boulder there is a shaft which leads to a Tomb/Vault. The message finishes by saying, “SEE ME, HOME, TTT”. “ME” would be Bacon; “HOME” is his vault on Oak Island. The entire construction of “SEE ME HOME” produces a hidden “T” that is used to create the “TTT” of available letters. A very ingenious technique that was inspired by the work of John Dee. TTT is the Triple Tau of Royal Arch Freemasonry and Templum Hieroslyma, representing the “Temple of Jerusalem”, “Key to the Treasure”, and “A place where the precious thing is concealed”.  Leaving us with the idea that there is something buried in this tomb/vault that could be extremely important.

This author then wondered if there were any more details about this tomb/vault on the plaque that were still hidden. An analysis of the BACON TRIANGLE on the plaque  revealed that there appeared to be a message inside of this geometric shape separate from the message of the entire section that had just been revealed. The author also found other geometric shapes throughout the plaque that produced messages and names of individuals that were apparently involved with both the Shakespeare and Oak Island Mysteries. Part 3 of the Addendum will present this information and will be coming soon.
